Who I work with:

I work with adult individuals and couples to navigate a wide variety of issues. Some of the issues I have experience working with are:

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • grief

  • trauma processing

  • attachment injury

  • infidelity

  • conflict management and resolution

  • parenting issues

  • spiritual issues

  • church hurt

  • spiritual abuse

  • cultural issues

What to expect:

The first session is all about hearing your story and getting oriented to who you are and what issues you are dealing with. From there, we figure out what you want to prioritize and set goals, and then begin a deeper dive into your struggles. Typically, by the third or fourth session, you can expect to start gaining traction and seeing the fruit of your hard work.

In our time together, you can expect a mix of honest reflection, practical tools, and a healthy dose of humor. I promise to show up as the real me - imperfect, honest, and compassionate. My goal is to create a space where you can be you - vulnerable, messy, and totally accepted. I operate with high compassion and empathy and want you to feel known and understood.

Methods:

I tailor my counseling to meet your unique needs. I am Level 2 trained in the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy. I also often use Internal Family Systems, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and elements of Emotionally-Focused Therapy. I find that a variety of techniques from different methodologies are helpful depending on your needs.

I offer counseling rooted in compassion and understanding. While I show up as my authentic self as a Christian, I am not limited to the Christian approach—my primary goal is to support you in the way that feels most comfortable and effective for you.
